Figueres es MOU is an annual dance and movement festival in Figueres, Spain, showcasing performances by national and international artists in both public spaces and theatres.
For the 2025 edition, we designed a free A5 audience guide aimed at making contemporary dance more accessible to a wider public—especially those less familiar with the field. The guide offered creative reflections and open-ended questions for each performance, encouraging individual interpretation and deeper engagement before, during, or after the festival.
To support this experience, we included a general section with tips on how to approach a performance, considering a range of perspectives. The publication also featured a dedicated space for personal reflection, inviting attendees to draw or write their thoughts.
I created custom illustrations for each dance piece, focusing on their emotional and conceptual essence rather than literal representation. Designed to complement a more traditional photo-based program, these visuals offered audiences a more reflective and layered way to engage with the performances.

I ensured the visual identity aligned with the festival’s brand while offering a fresh, eye-catching aesthetic. Accessibility was a core concern throughout. Drawing on my knowledge of barriers faced by disabled audiences, I contributed to the inclusion of relevant accessibility information and designed a symbol system to clearly communicate aspects such as physical access and sensory considerations.
